As a fan of all things creepy, Emily Johnson, writes grounded horror stories focused on dysfunctional familial relationships and the human capacity for evil. Emily was born and bred in Chicago and graduated Summa Cum Laude from North Central College with a BA in English/Writing and Interactive Media/Convergent Media. She also holds a Bachelor’s Certification in Screenwriting, Directing, and Producing from The Film Connection. She also has her Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction. Her scripts have received numerous finalist laurels including from Roadmap’s Jumpstart competition and the 13 Horror Film and Screenplay published four of her scripts among many others. She just won "Best Original Screenplay" from the Hollywood Blood Horror Festival Emily loves blending her classically trained roots with modern storytelling techniques to demonstrate just how passionate she is about the things that go bump in the night.
